Gravity based energy storage for India

New Delhi, 29th November 2022

India is aiming for 500GW of renewables by 2030, predominantly solar. Energy storage technologies are needed to accommodate this intermittent source of power. We have introduced li-ion technology and are working to bring a variety of other solutions to India. This UK government grant follows completion of a successful project earlier this year. It will further our work with the leading gravity energy storage technology from Scottish company Gravitricity Ltd.
