As an effort towards sustainable investing, Panitek Power has signed the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
The PRI is recognized as the leading global network of investment managers, asset owners and service providers working together to foster responsible investment practices. The Principles, which are aspirational and voluntary, aim to provide a framework for integrating environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) considerations into investment decision-making and ownership practices.
At the PRI, The Principles were developed by investors, for investors. There are six Principles for Responsible Investment, developed by an international group of institutional investors reflecting the increasing relevance of environmental, social and corporate governance issues to investment practices. The process was convened by former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
Panitek Power’s C.E.O, Dr. Pankaj Agarwal said, “We have a responsibility to take all factors that impact investments and financial decisions including ESG and SDG factors.
Panitek over the decade has been working towards investing globally in clean renewable energy technologies, making them accessible to emerging markets like India. Not just investments, but all projects undertaken by Panitek Power are also guided by the same criteria.
Becoming a signatory of PRI reinforces publicly, our commitment and responsibility towards the investments and projects we undertake. It is also a demonstration of support towards sustainability and environmental responsibility worldwide.”
”Investing in clean energy solutions will continue to be a top priority in the coming years,” said PRI CEO Fiona Reynolds, “so having a leading clean energy player like Panitek recognise the importance of ESG considerations is a great win for the responsible investment community.”
About the PRI:
The PRI is truly independent. It encourages investors to use responsible investment practices to enhance returns and better manage risks, but does not operate for its own profit; it engages with global policymakers but is not associated with any government; it is supported by the United Nations but does not receive financial assistance from any body.
The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works:
to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors
to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.
